Seniors Eye Exams

 Island Eyecare Optometrists
 A senior exam is for those aged 65 and over.  These patients need to have their eyes examined yearly as eye diseases are more prevalent in this population.  The majority of these diseases are completely asymptomatic in their early stages which is why early detection with routine eye exams is important.
 
These diseases include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Glaucoma
  • Age Related Macular Degeneration
  • Cataracts
 
 
These diseases, if left untreated or undiagnosed, can lead to complications resulting in severe vision loss and blindness.
